Challenge / Purpose

To convert the space of the Tomography Ward at Hospital “Dr. Alejandro Korn” in Melchor Romero (La Plata) so that it becomes friendlier and cozier for the patients, considering that the examination tends to generate anxiety and fear in many of them.

Strategy

After a research work with the technical and medical staff related to the use of the tomograph, we created two visual “universes”: one that makes explicit  the cultural and patrimonial characteristics of the city and the territory of the hospital to decorate the ward previously to the tomograph, and the other of a surrealistic character, where the elements of the previous universe are represented in a fantasy way, inviting the patients to discover playful stories and to live in 20 minutes of the tomography to an introspective trip, awakening the senses to their own subjectivity, where the world is a re-elaboration of each person.
